Hi,
I have a problem that i have taken over administration of an Oracle system, and no one has the administrator password for OMS (not the default - sysman/oem_temp)

I have tried reinstalling OMS to reset the password, and it did not help - i suspect that the password is stored in the repository, but i dont know where!

Anybody know how i can reset this password.
any help much appreciated!

NO problem~

To reset the SYSMAN password - 

1. Stop all Oracle Management Servers (OMS) currently connected to the EM 
Repository. 

2. From one of the OMS systems, use SQLPLUS to connect to the EM Repository 
Database as repository owner.
 
3. if you are using OEM 2.1 use

	execute smp_maintenance.reset_sysman();

   if you are using OEM 2.0.4
	 Execute the SQL script: <Oracle_home>sysmanadminvduresetsysman.sql 

4. Restart each OMS. 

5. Launch the EM Console. Logon as sysman with a password of oem_temp and 
change the password when prompted. Make sure the sysman and oem_temp are all 
lower case.

Can someone post the encrypted default password? I've reset the password for sysman and still can not connect to the oms to shut it down.

Sir,

I am using oracle 8i on NT platform. I tried to change password by executing @e:oracleora811sysmanadminvduresetsysman.sql
it prompt 1 row updated
commit completed
still when i try sysman/password oem_temp, it shows invalid.
kindly help me to sort out this problem

hi iam workink in a bpo, my sys adminis has blocked all the websites and i want to open without his notice , will u please help me in that way.
