I have Installed oracle 8.1.7 on Linux Redhat 7.1. I Have Problem When I Starting oemrctl....

$oemctrl ping oms

"There are Messages Could not connect to the OMS;possible error in configuration file".....What I have to do to fix this problem....

Have u create a repositary?
Type in 'emca' to create a new repositary with login, password and connection.

The information you have provided is not ennough.
Pls check oms.long.0 and oms.nohup for any erro messages( like... More help is available by typing NET HELPMSG 3534 ).
Anyhow take a look at your SQLNET.ORA file and make
sure that the parameter
SQLNET.AUTHENICATION_SERVICES= NTS has been commented out.
