Hello,

===Microsoft Managment Console===
Could not start OracleOraHome81ManagmentServer service on local computer
Error 997: overlapped I/O operation is in progress
=====================

Can somebody help me to fix this problem?

Many thanks!

Before starting the ManagementServer in Windows 2000
Services Panel, the Enterprise Manager Configuration Assistant(EMCA) needs to be run and new repository created.
complete the task of creating repository.
When completed, return to Windows 2000 services GUI
and start the OracleOraHome81ManagementServer.
If you have created your repository , make sure it is
accessible and up and the oms can connect to it using
the credentials you have provided to it. Also, make
sure that the omsconfig.properties is accessible in %
ORACLE_HOME%sysmanconfigomsconfig.properties and
that it point to the right repository location.

Well, I am having the same error. I solved another error to get this one, so I know at least I am making progress now. The error is with DCOM (Distributed Component Module). I can only point you to where I do my changes at. Start>Run>DCOMCNFG>ok this where permissions are set for DCOM and I hope that helps.

What I've found out is that on a Win2K-domain, this issue is solved by running "gpupdate /force".
