I could as well be talking to myself. HOw come no replies to my queries? This was my query.
My Oracle (8.1.7)server is running on a Windows 2000 Professional OS. In 'Services' when i try to start the Management Server, this is the error message I get.
"Microsoft Management Console
Could not start the OracleOraHomeManagementServer service on Local Computer. The service did not return an error. This could be an internal Windows Error or an internal service error. If the problem persists, contact the system administrator."
I understand I need to apply a patch to rectify this defect. If yes, where do i get the patch? If no, what do I need to do?
