Hi all,

 We've tried to shutdown d/base (8.1.6) and looking at alert log I can see the last line is: Completed: ALTER DATABASE DISMOUNT.

How do I loging to SQL*Plus and issue shutdown command. When I try / as sysdba, it doesnt' work saying Oracle is not available.

Please help,
