Hello,
I tried connection to the oracle 9.2.0.4 database with clients 8.1.7 and 9.2.0.4 or 9.0.1. Connection fails with ORA-00604 and ORA-12705. Client is windows nt/xp and server Sun Solaris SunOS 5.8.
This comes out when the client's registry key NLS_LANG has value FINNISH_FINLAND.WEISO8859P15. Whenever the key has a value AMERICAN_AMERCA.WEISO8859P15 or it is empty, everything works fine.
Tracing the connection with client's (only 8.1.7 trace brings these out) sqlnet.ora, I noted some odd codes in ALTER SESSION NLS - parameters:
NLS_TERRITORY=FINLAN@D
NLS_DATE_FORMAT=DD.MM@.RRRR
and so on.
Have anybody faced this kind of problem or have you any ideas (this 'empty' - or AMERICAN.. value are hopefully only temporary fixings)?
