Hi.

Im running oracle 8.1.7.0

Connecting via SQLWorksheet, over a IPSec VPN Tunnel connection.

Connects fine, can access the DB fine. After about 1-5 minutes of inactivity I get this error:

ORA-03113: end-of-file on communication channel

TNSPING, and PING ok. I suspect there is something going on with the VPN/Firewall rules.

SQL Trace of the eror is:

Anyone have similar issues?

Client is W2K,SP4

VPN tunnel is using Forticlient (Fortinet) 3DES-SHA1

Thanks!

Hello Neal,
I understand this was posted a long time ago, but I am having the exact same problem (the OS version is the same and the IPSec tunnel config is also the same) and I have tried everything I could. If you were able to resolve your issue, I would highly appreciate it if you share information with me.
Anyone else who may have suggested resolutions may also replyto this.
Thanks and regards,
-Mohammad
