Hi,

I have a problem on a Linux Redhat Enterprise ES r3 with Oracle 9204.

Suddenly when the listener stops before the backup, it stops effective the listener, but on the linux system, when asking for all running oracle processes, I can still see a listener process, although when connecting over the listener it says me: no listener. What can be done to get this out of the Linux memory?

the listener.log gives the normal reactions when shutting down or starting the listener, so no errors. Also when back starting the listener, this works, but then you see 2 listener processes on the linux like this:

oracle 2005 1 0 10:13 ? 00:00:00 /usr1/oracle/product/9.2/bin/tns
lsnr LISTENER -inherit

I can solve it out by not stopping the listener, but I would like to have a clean & good listener that runs fine :-)

So, can anyone help me out with this?

thanks & greets
K.
