I have oracle 9 installed on win2k and it was fine. I then installed oracle 10G developer suite (full installation) it created another database on my machine.

I just realized I can't use TOAD to connect to my old database no more. However, sql*plus still works fine.

I tried using TNSPING, it won't work since it, by default, uses the 10G database program and use the 10G database sqlnet.ora file.

however, when I use C:oracleora90bintnsping, it works fine...

I tried to change the path to use this version of TNSPing first, but with no luck. ...

Does anyone know how can I solve this problem? I think the main problem is the system might be confused with the two oracle, HOME1, HOME2...

need to configure the TNSNAMES.ORA file, since TNSPING and related software need information from their
corresponding TNSNAMES.ORA file.

when i try to connected to database through forms then created error 12154 tns could not resolve service name.
what i can do for this problams plz help me.
