A question about possible distributed architectures involving an Oracle Server (Oracle 9i) and one or more MS SQL installation (each one on a different workstation: MS SQL 2000), connected by MS SQL "linked server" objects:

Do I have to install an Oracle Client for every remote MS SQL workstation, to connect with the remote Oracle Server?

OR

May I use only one Oracle Client residing on the same Oracle Server WS, and manage to connect every MS SQL machine (without a local Oracle Client) to that client?

Thanks to all in advance
