Is there any specific setting to connect a remote client Oracle 8i to a server 8i using a Virtual Private Network?
From the client I have access to all shared directories on the server, Ping works well. But when I test the connection I get the error:
"ORA-12535:TNS operation timed out. The test did not succed"
Before testing the connection the firewall has been disabled, so all the ports are enabled.
On the server side the file "Listener.log" keeps trace of the connection from the remote client, and it reports that the connection has been established, eventhough on the client side I got the TNS error.
Please help me!
