Hi,
I'm using Oracle 8.0.6. my OS win2000.i'm facing problem with oracle network service.When i installed win2000 OS & Oracle my system and oracle network service is working properly.but after installing Mcafee Home Edition ver 7.0 with firewall my oracle (Sqlnet config8.0) flases me error ORA-12571 TNS packet failure

i beleive, the issue is with port redirections which occurs only when oracle is installed in windows box across firewall.
There is a windows registry paramter.
set the following in the windows registry.reboot the machine. 
Now the the port redirections will be handled.USE_SHARED_SOCKET=TRUE
and
comment off all the entries in your sqlnet.ora

Tengo problemas con una PC me manda este error a quererme enlzar a un servidor.

Porque y cual seria la solucion por su atencion muchas gracias.

El problema es el Mcafee. Me sucedio lo mismo y tuve que quitar el Mcafee.
No conozco otra solucion.

Hola ,
Por favor intente al uninstall una reciente instalaci�n de de un nuevo programa se instala encima de Or�culo que por eso comparte la toma de corriente apunta de su computadora y causando un conflicto.
