Hi,
I've a trouble accessing an Oracle DB behind a FireWall from remote Windows Client. I've mapped client's IP address by a NAT on Firewall and open all ports for incoming/outgoing traffic. I've configured TNSNAMES.ORA on the client (using NAT Server IP Address) and I could TNSPING the server but when I try to open a Sql.Plus session I get TNS Error ORA-12203. I read about "connection manager" but I think I can't use it on 7.3.4 version. I also checked server's listener log file and it seems ok (I read "establish connection on SID).
Could you help me?
Thanks for attention,
Luca

Case of IP redirection against firewalls and in DMZ ( de-militarized zones).
long story short,
set this registry settting in the server and bounce the server (and db).
USE_SHARED_SOCKET = TRUE
try again.
if this is not helping you, there are some other things to ponder.
