Hi,

I have got a strange pb on a linux box with Oracle
8.1.6:
I have configured my tnsnames.ora to connect to 2
databases : DB1 and DB2. The problem is whatever I
use connect john/doe@DB1 or connect john/doe@DB2 I am
always connected to DB1.
When I check with lsnrctl services, I see one
connexion to DB1 and one connexion to DB2 !!!
Did anyone see this pb yet ?

The listener.ora was not at the right place
and TNS_ADMIN was not set.
Oracle seemed to start the listener anyway -
with a default conf file (I didn't see that
in the Oracle doc!) - but the listener didn't
run correctly.
Moving the listener.ora in
$ORACLE_HOME/network/admin has solved this
pb.
Sorry :-|
