I have installed Oracle 8i into a Win95 machine. Somehow the NetEasy Config failed using the default password and username. I have already tried to change the host name to an IP address. But it does not work. Please help. Thank you.

If you are trying to access database server on the same machine, you dont have to go through net8. You can directly connect to the database by entering username/password. If you still need to connect it through net8...could you please post the error message and entries in tnsnames.ora & listener.ora.

i can even login to the SQL Plus with the default username and password from the win95 machine.
