My server name is orasrv1 & domain name is ora1.
After changing db_domain parameter in pfile to orasrv1 and global_name to dbname.orasrv1, I am not able to connect to database. The error message is
ORA-12514: TNS:listener could not resolve SERVICE_NAME given in connect descriptor
My platform is winnt, oracle 8i.
please help me...

user oradim to create new service .
"oradim -new -sid ora1"

Enter entry in listener.ora or through Network assistent create new listener.
