ORA-12571: TNS:packet writer failure [message #66291]

Hello,
Every morning i have this message error in the first try to connect to Oracle 8.1.7 from an XA application ORA-12571: TNS:packet writer failure and at the second try i have this message error ORA-03114: not connected to ORACLE.
I must shutdown and boot the XA connection and i can connect without problem, but after one night at the morning, the error comes back.
Please help me.

I found the cause !!!
It 's because the shutdown of the Database during the save was "shutdown immediate" and with "shutdown transactionnal" it works !!!

I am also getting the same and i donot even have the database mounted , can u pls help me in this regard

Hello every body,
My problem is, When I keep on firing queries and keep on working in it,it is online but if I left out for 15 0r 30 minutes. After that when I fire query it give error

TNS PAcket failure .Then again I had to enter username and password to login it, and then it works,

So can anybody help me in this prob.PLz its urgent!!!!!!
