There may be an error in the fields entered,
or the server may not be ready for a connection.

I already read several solutions in Oracle FAQ and tried those..
In my network i only have : fake TCP/IP, Dial-Up Adapter and Microsoft Logon

I also asked my friend's opinions ...
n tried these:
- change the ip address into something ..
- re-install windows cause might be the registry problem or something on windows environment couldnt support the oracle..
- re-install the personal oracle without Oracle JServer

but still ..
PLEASE HELP Me...
it's very urgent..
I need to get my ASP code connected to Oracle .. please please..

Have you properly configured listener on your machine yet? From the error meg, it looks like you haven't done that yet. Use net8 assistant to do that first.

good luck

your listner is not properly configured.
Re-configure your listner. If this doesnot work then re-create your listner by providing correct information.
