SIR,
GO TO THE WINDOWS CLIENT
IN THE CLIENT MACHINE ,GO TO THE DOS PROPMT
GIVE THE COMMAND IN THE C:WINDOWS DIRECTORY.

C:WINDOWS>EDIT HOSTS

ADD THIS ENTRY

192.168.100.1 MYSERVER

SAVE THE FILE.
(HERE YOU MENTION YOUR SERVER NAME AND IP ADDRESS
OF THE LINUX SERVER)

EXECUTE THE SQLPLUS,THEN
GIVE USERNAME ,PASSWORD AND

IN THE PLACE OF HOST STRING GIVE THE "MYSERVER"
THEN IT WILL AUTOMATICALLY CONNECT WITH
YOUR DATABASE.
(OR)
USE THE NET80 EASY CONFIGURATION UTILITY.

I HAVE ONE ORACLE 8.1.6 PACK.I TRY TO INSTALL THE ORACLE IN REDHAT 7.0.AFTER RUNNING THE
./RunInstaller COMMAND IT STOPS.
WHAT I HAVE TO DO?
PLEASE HELP ME.
THANKS
