Folks,
I am required to provide a case to buy Oracle Warehouse Builder product for our ETL needs. I downloaded the trial version of this tool from Oracle Site. There is no clear explanation on what it consists of. Meaning I dont know if it includes both client and server module or just the server module. Is there anyone who us using this product? If so can you please share your experience and answer these questions?
Our source is an 8.0.5 RDBMS and targer stging area is in 9.2.0.4. Will this tool enable tracking of changes from source to destination? If so how does it do it? We have lot of custom pl-sql code to compute several business metrics. How easy is it to re-use those code? Are there any major installation problems with this tool? Does it support automating ETL without having to use OEM?
Any experiences shared will be greately appreciated.
