Could you approach me to the procedure to perform a complete or incomplete restore (in case of loss of a datafile, for example), on the same server, from Oracle RAC with 2 instances.

I have doubts about how to handle each instance and the way they should be started, MOUNT or NOMOUNT.

Linux S.O

Thanks in advanced.

The procedure is exactly the same as non-RAC. Keep the database open. Unless the file is part of SYSTEM or UNDO% tablespaces, in which case mount it.

However, I think you may need to do a bit more studying. Incomplete recovery because you lose few datafiles??? You'll lose your job as well if you do that.
