hello all,

I am baffled at the moment and cannot find solution.

Often i see message in the alert log as bellow:

WARNING: too many parse errors, count=555 SQL hash=0x93a63936
PARSE ERROR: ospid=4504, error=12850 for statement:
/* query name*/

for error=12850 if it is related to RAC then the server i have is not RAC enabled. so please guide.

ORA-12850: Could not allocate slaves on all specified instances: %s needed, %s allocated
 *Cause: When executing a query on a gv$ fixed view, one or more
         instances failed to allocate a slave to process query.
 *Action:Check trace output for instances on which slaves failed to start.
         GV$ query can only proceed if slaves can be allocated on all
         instances.

Hello,

thank you for the reply, there was a big query was running which has many aggregation running as well. I would appreciate if anyone can tell me how to find slave process because the instance is standalone NOT RAC enabled instance. also, there was no trace file generated for ORA-12850 as well

i have set these parameter as well but no luck

SGA_MAX = 24GB

SGA_Target = 22GB

pga_aggreagate limit = 8GB

pga_aggreagate target = 5gb
