Is the rest of your technology stack that old? Your OS? Your hardware? What OS is this running on?
Given that 7.3.4 is utterly, totally, completely out of support, I hope this is not a business critical system.
I've seen items in antique stores that are not as old as Oracle 7. Oracle 7.3 was _released_ in Feb. 1996 (nearly 24 years ago) and _replaced_ by 8.0 in June 1997 (over 23 years ago).
I began my career with 7.3. I am retiring next month.

The first release of Oracle I (supposedly) worked with was 5. Couldn't make it do anything. Really started using it a few years later, 7.something. With each release since then I have thought "That's it. The product is finished: nothing more to be added". But they keep coming up with more....
(that is today's time wasting message from me. Forgive me - I need something to think about other than the disastrous (lack of) leadership UK gov is showing at the moment).

Reading what you've just said, all of you, means that we're just getting old. At the time 7.x was released, I was young and handsome. Now, I'm just handsome 
Like John's, my first Oracle version was 5. I didn't do anything with it (as a developer); there was a Forms application I used to enter some car insurance related data. In a matter of several months, I got employed in another company and started working with 7.1; we used it more than a decade. Machine we had was a Digital Alpha server 3800 (later replaced by 2100) under OpenVMS operating system, 128 MB RAM, 5 hard disks (can't remember their capacity any more, but - from today's point of view - ridiculously small), 30 users worked on VT terminals and life was just beautiful!
