Hello All,

We exported oracle DB dump from one machine and imported to another with same oracle version.

But then i notice one thing that for one table i.e. "NETWORK_PLANNING"."LINKAMCTHRESHOLD" exported and imported count is not matching. No error encountered related to this table in log files.
From Export Log
. . exported "NETWORK_PLANNING"."LINKAMCTHRESHOLD"       39.66 MB  103405 rows
From Import Log
. . imported "NETWORK_PLANNING"."LINKAMCTHRESHOLD"       14.88 MB  101972 rows
Isn't there should be some message in log file related to missing entries ? or any prerequisite which i need to follow before importing?

Note: I have checked NLS parameters and all are same in both M/Cs.

Let me know if need to share anything more here. thank you

Is there any trigger or VPD policy set on this table?

Also are you sure you are importing the dump associated with the log you showed?

Post both export and import commands and the header and footer of each file.

Export was executed by our client only and below is what they shared when we asked them to show Export command they executed. (This is only we have for export)

expdp <DBA login> parfile=asset_full_v12.par
Parameter file contents
CONTENT=ALL
DIRECTORY=DP_DIR
dumpfile=ASSET_export_V12_%u.dmp
logfile=ASSET_export.log
FULL=Y
PARALLEL=4
version=12
EXCLUDE=SCHEMA:"IN ('MTN_ADMIN','MTN_QSPL')"
below is what we used while importing....
IMPDP system/****@OSID full=y dumpfile=ASSET_export_V12_01.dmp,ASSET_export_V12_02.dmp,ASSET_export_V12_03.dmp,ASSET_export_V12_04.dmp logfile=ImportLog06Feb2020.log directory=DATA_IMPORT_DIR

Meantime, we request fresh dump from client.

So
1/ You are not sure they imported the correct dump maybe an old one
2/ We can't diagnose without the log files

We just imported the dump which was shared by our customer. No alteration in b/w, direct import. Might be export dump got corrupted somewhere so now we requested fresh export dump.

Will keep posted if that work or not.

thank you

But you are not sure you imported, that is they gave you, the dump associated with the log you told us.
I advise you to tag with a timestamp the name of the dump to prevent from this kind of error.

Fresh dump imported successfully with exactly same counts.

Client seems confused (might not sure) when i told them to confirm initial export log associated with initial dump. Seems like some disconnect from there side causing initial mismatch.
