Hi,

I am trying to install oracle grid 12c Release 2 in solaris but root.sh failed.

Prerequisites are good no errors.

While executing root scripts, the error appears asm is failed to start.

I am attaching the logs.

please help. I am using two VMs.

This would be my first guess:

2019-09-04 10:33:15: Running as user grid: /u01/app/12.2.0.1/setup/bin/cluutil -ckpt -global -oraclebase /u01/app/grid -chkckpt -name ROOTCRS_FIRSTNODE -status

You ran "root.sh" as grid user. Not root.

No I execute rootscripts as root itself.

Anything to be seen in /u01/app/grid/crsdata/racnode1/crsconfig/cluutil3.log and /u01/app/grid/crsdata/racnode1/crsconfig/cluutil4.log ?

I did some patching recommended by oracle support .
Patches:
28293236 - USM DRIVERS DOESN'T LOAD IN SOLARIS CAUSE WERE BUILT W 3DNOW SUPPORT
24923883 - ORA-07445 [DLADM_DOOR_FD()+25] SEEN IN SOLARIS 12

Then ASM issue is solved.But the server keeps rebooting when it comes to step 17 start cluster.
In first node, root script run successfully. But in second node it keeps rebooting on 17th step.
