Hi,

I am using multi master asynchronous replication with database A as master definition site and database B as master site. Now while updating a table in database A which is part of replication group. How many number of packet will sent by oracle for replicating data to B and what could be the max possible size of a packet sent by oracle for replication?

Thanks,
Manish

It depends on:
1/ Your TCP/IP stack configuration
2/ Your sqlnet.ora configuration
3/ Your databases activity (how many updates and how large they are)

I hope you are in a local network or have small volumes of updates (11.1 /forum/fa/1599/0/).

Can you explain in detail. How we come to know? How it relates to sqlnet.ora? I just want to check how many max byte a packet will support and how many packets will go?

I checked that. so, the oracle send exactly SDU size data or there is some overhead of header or any other extra bytes is there
