Hi experts,

there is a partitioned table that is going to be split to new partitions in Oracle 11g version. the size of table is 60G. what notes should be considered before start splitting? do we need 60G extra volume during splitting operation? and something else?.

thank you in advance.

You should better to give us more information, ex: What's logical table purpose? How long to grow? How many columns and data-type was identified in which column?
You should not tell us: I want to change my car from Toyota to Porsche, should I? It's yours, not our.

This question is actually much more specific than that.
It's asking how much disk space is needed for the split operation itself.
The main question that needs asking is - how is it split now and how is it going to be split.
