Hi All,

I am facing the issue ORA-04022: nowait requested, but had to wait to lock dictionary object where trying to enable and disable constraint of a table in oracle 12.1.0.2.
I try to find in oracle Docs and get an bug no:13916228 ,for that oracle has provided the patch in version 11.2.0.3 or 12.1.0.1 base version. So I wanted to know whether that patch is automatically be included in the version oracle 12.1.0.2. or do I need to install it separately because I am facing this error in this version. will it impact (upgrade/degrade) if I try to install the patch in this version Or is there any other way that can help me out from this problem.

Are you sure you are in the case if this bug which is noted as fixed in 12.1.
In addition, there are only patches for versions 11.2.0.3.* on MOS, where did you find a patch for 12.1.0.1?

Hi Michel,

Thanks for looking into the issue.
I asked the ASH report from the client and we find in the top events "RAC referential constraint parent lock" then we find it in oracle docs why this error occurs.
We didn't find any patch related to this issue for our version 12.1.0.2.we just wanted to understand do we required for this known issue, or it has been already catered in this version.

To be sure you have to ask Oracle for this.
