Hi,
Our DB admin want to use AD login on the Oracle database, so the steps should be like this.
The user logs into the machines with domain credentials, and then start an oracle application, but need to type inn another domain credentil.... so singel sign on is not an option. And they are following this guide...
" docs.oracle.com/en/database/oracle/oracle-database/18/dbseg/integrating_mads_with_oracle_database.html#GUID-1DB66BF2-AB14-46DB-AEFB-3 2B79F514706 "
One question from our DB is the following "Copy the certificate text file (for example, AD_CA_Root_cert.txt) from the Active Directory server to a temporary directory (for example, /tmp) on the local host."... see step 5 from the link I provided.
We don`t have a PKI system so do we need this ? We are using Kerberose as usual... so any advice or suggestions.
From the guide I can see "depending on the authentication type, configure the database and Active Directory for password, Kerberos, or public key infrastructure (PKI) authentication"... and if I am not wrong AD uses Kerberos....
Any advice ?
Thanks for reply.
/Regards
Andreas
