Are you thinking of installing the OVM Server, and then installing the OVM Manager into its dom0? That sounds a bit odd, but I suppose you could try. I'm sure the installer will tell you if it doesn't like it. You may find that the default dom0 memory allocation is insufficient.

I asked if you intend to install the OVM into dom0. You said "yes". But then you say you want to create a VM, and install into that. Which do you want to do?
Either way, as I said, just try it: it takes only ten minutes to install OVM, you'll find out if it works soon enough. Why are you doing this? It seems rather odd. The whole idea of the OVM Manager is that you use it to manage a large environment.

First, I cannot understand why you don't just try it.
Second, you need to decide whether to try this in the dom0 or a domU
Third, you know the resources needed: they are in the OVM Manager install doc.

Correct me if I am wrong.
Said you that, you would like to deploy the OVM Manager into one of VM server which installed and deployed by OVM? If yes, I say, you can but not recommend. The OVM Manager should be better exists in separate resource rather than OVM, example, one of LUN on storage.

I''m sorry due to late answer.
You can deploy, as:
- All server contains the ovm
- All server must have got at least 3 enabled Nic, 1 public, 2 virtual and private. I can send to you my private doc when I had configured last year.
But, as I said, this is not recommended because of some reasons cause down all OVM:
- Only one Private ip down from any server, you must point the ovm failover to the remain
- Nothing respect to swithover and failover automatically
