hi experts,

I am getting following error in Alert log while working on Stream Replication.

ORA-03113: end-of-file on communication channel
PING[ARC1]: Heartbeat failed to connect to standby 'TARGET.NETSOLPK.COM'. Error is 3113.

Kindly help.

What is OS name & version?
What is Oracle DB version to 4 decimal places.

ORA-00600/ora-07445/ORA-03113 = Oracle bug => search on Metalink and/or call Oracle support

When was last it worked without error?
What changed since then?

Thanks Blackswan and Michel.

My Os is Windows.

My source db has version 11.2.0.1.0 and My target db has version 11.2.0.4.0 .

I am getting ORA-03113 on source and getting ORA-07445 on target.

Now my question is that version differnce can be the cause of these errors?

Michel, We have to replicate 300 tables so MV replication is not accepted option.

Have a look at alert.log and trace files.
You can also read this article: Troubleshooting Internal Errors.

Why don't you upgrade source to 11.2.0.4?

Are you are using downstream capture? I have always found the default upstream capture easier, faster, and more reliable.

300 tables is not problem. I have used MV replication with more than 700 tables no problem.

This may be your problem. There were many stabilizations in Streams through the 11.2.x releases. I would never attempt it on 11.2.0.1.
