The latest version of SQL Developer (3.0.x) is actually much better than the previous version by the way.

I haven't closed SQL Developer since I found out about this capability!

SQL Developer is a free tool that can be downloaded from Oracle's web site here:

The latest version of SQL Developer (3.0.x) ...

Isn't the latest version 4.1.1? Version 3.0.x dates in March 2011 so - as you quite often say - please upgrade at your earliest convenience /forum/fa/5767/0/

I get a HTTP 404 error. And the latest version of SQL Developer is "Version 4.1.1.19.59, Updated June 29, 2015" according to this.

You could try the SQL Formatter plugin for Notepad++/UltraEdit. It is useful when the URL is down.

You can also format SQL in a SQL Developer worksheet. Just hit <CTRL>-F7.

[Edit: clarification]

And now the URL works again. So I don't have to change to some other product. I do suffer a bit from the "It's new, therefore it's bad" syndrome.
