Patch management using Enterprise Manager cloud control 12c [message #636315]

Hi all,

I am trying to setup patch management using Enterpise Manager cloud control 12c. When I create a patch plan, during the deployment phase, under the section 'credential information' we are supposed to setup normal credentials and privileged credentials. Can someone please explain what exactly the privileged credentials be used for? I mean what are these tasks that need root or sudo privilege as root?
