ORA-12535: TNS:operation timed out [message #630286]

Hi All,

Need an advice.

The Error Log messages regarding "ORA-12535: TNS:operation timed out" related to the parameter "SQLNET.RECV_TIMEOUT", is getting written in ALERT LOG FILE.

Is it right? Why it is not writing in SQLNET.LOG file instead.

Do we need to change any parameter for it.

Hi Michel,

Not like that, I am searching simultaneously. Able to get the location of SQLNET.LOG file, after that only came to know it is not writing in that.

And I will ask you one question she'd post (but in better English): "what did change since last time it worked?".

the most likely cause of timeout is a FireWall on or between client and DB.
