Quote:as an 11g OCA for me 1Z0-067 sounds very interesting.
One thing that I would point out is that the 1Z0-067 exam provides the greatest benefit for 9i OCAs, somewhat less for 10g OCAs and the least for 11g OCAs. 067 is a compilation of topics from about eight different exams (1Z0-040, 1Z0-043, 1Z0-050, 1Z0-052, 1Z0-053, 1Z0-060, 1Z0-062, 1Z0-063). While it means you can jump from an 11g OCA to a 12c OCP in one test, that one test was designed to ensure that 9i OCAs were caught up on all of the new features that were introduced in 10g, 11g, and 12c.
I've been asked to write a guest post for the Oracle Certification Blog about the pros and cons of the 1Z0-034 and 1Z0-067 exams. I haven't written it yet, but it's on my short list of projects to do. When it is published, I'll link to it from here.

I wouldn't think that any mainstream publisher will produce anything aimed specifically at this exam. The objectives are all covered in the various exam guides for the SQL/OCA/OCP core curricula for each release, and the new features exam guides.
Just book it, do some studying, and have a go. In beta it is very cheap, and an enjoyable way to spend a morning. And you never know - you might pass.

I understand.
My point is, a study guide intended specially for a specific test paper is much different from a book focussed on a complete reference. That's what the test takers look for. Having said that, it is very difficult, rather next to impossible, to compare two books of two different authors on the same subject/topic.
By the way, to comment on 1Z0-067, an amateur would find it too difficult to pass in beta level. So, it should be OK to keep the exam guide a bit precise and not going too much into details. Would you agree?
