Can someone please help me, how to take database dump of Oracle Rdb SQL V7.2-400 version.

Boy, I was VERY wrong when I saw this question. I supposed that BlackSwan will reply (that part I guessed right), but I thought that it would be about necessity of upgrading 7.2 Oracle version to a more recent one (and I failed that part). So I went to see what the heck is that "Rdb", so for you - who don't want to search:

Oracle

Oracle Rdb is a full-featured, relational database management system for mission-critical applications on OpenVMS platforms.


I was curious so I downloaded a PDF document in order to see what it is all about. Obviously, I can not assist regarding the question. It just brought the memories, as my very first Oracle installation ran on Digital Alpha server under OpenVMS operating system. It is permanently shut down for years now.

This is part of its documentation; not really PDF or HTML.

I already found document about how to take Database Dump of RDB V7.

But need to do some analysis of that version and migrate data into Oracle 11G R2 version.

Not sure how to install a RDB v7 version and import the already available exported data.
