does anyone know a good merge software for free? i know winmerge, kdiff, but im trying to find a better one, any recommendations?

How would you define "better", e.g. what do you miss in winmerge and kdiff?
The GNU diffutils combined with patch would be "better" in the sense that they are more readily available on target systems, and more scriptable.
