Extremely fishy. These have started popping up recently for every exam you can name. Some of the 'fishy factors' include:

1. They are coming out too fast -- when exams have barely even started their beta. I know how long it takes to research the data for the exams and create this type of product. They aren't doing it.
2. My series is of books are short, I'll grant you, but these are ludicrously short.
3. The books are printed in a 16-point Font. Per the notes in the book, this is done as a service to accommodate readers with weaker vision. It has nothing to do with trying to make the books appear larger.
4. Using Amazon's 'Look Inside' feature, the table of contents for the 1Z0-061: Oracle Database 12c: SQL Fundamentals ExamReview guide contains topics that are not on the exam, such as memory management, the universal installer, and DBCA. The SQL topics cover 14 pages (out of 114)
5. No one is taking credit for the books. The listed author is ExamReview. You don't have any idea who created these books or what their qualifications are. Whether you hate the books in my series or love them, you know who is responsible for them and what my qualifications are.

You can also see a review of their 1Z0-061 book here: http://www.amazon.com/dp/1492281972/

Hi Matthew

thank you for your arguments. For me it was just a strange feeling

copy+paste linked Amazon review

This is a VERY BAD book! Don't waste your time reading this!! You will never pass the exam by just studying this book. You mind as well go through Oracle's documentation.

Note also that their book OCP 12 New Features and DB Admin I and II are just as bad. They are all cut & paste.

I found an other Amazon spammer similar to ExamFOCUS/ExamREVIEW. It's called "Study Blast $EXAM Study Guide". They have no official website and it's also published by "CreateSpace Independent Publishing Platform".

Amazon shows 486 results for the search string "Study Blast".

Yes -- it looks very similar to the ExamFOCUS/ExamREVIEW offerings from the 'Look in this book'. Large font -- few pages -- little content.

Mind you, *just* because a book is published by Createspace doesn't mean it is s scam. My study guides are for one. Books from Rampant Techpress and Packt publishing are printed by Createspace as is a book recently put out by Cary Millsap. The Rampant and Packt books don't show CS as the publisher because they use ISBNs they own. The 'publisher' isn't who printed the books but rather who owns the ISBN number.
