Good morning!

I'am reading a news from my friend who talk me one: Oracle will give up some thing like Oracle Stream, Oracle Change Data Capture, Oracle Advanced Queuing (replace by Oracle Golden Gate). Some parameters such as "fast_start_io_target, sec_case_sensitive_logon, ..". Well, with parameters can be replace, they're not important, really for many production system. But, with Oracle's productions as Stream, CDC, Queue will be gaveup next time, this is a hard work to convert to Golden Gate. So, will Oracle support until a date time?

Thank you.

When you ask Oracle, you will most likely be referred to this,
http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/goldengate/overview/statement-of-direction-gg-132120.pdf

What the doc doesn't mention is that Streams is bundled with Enterprise Edition, whereas GG is USD17.5k per CPU. No one at Oracle makes a cent when you configure Streams, which may colour the advice.

The 12.1 docs describe Streams as deprecated. I wouldn't worry about it. Think about Advanced Replication: no development since 9i, but still there, fully documented and reliable.
