Littlefoot wrote on Fri, 02 August 2013 15:47I don't use 11g, but - if it kept 10g locations, then TNSNAMES.ORA should reside in \network\admin directory,
I guess Littlefoot is not referring to Application server. So he referred to usual tnsnames.ora for the database server which resides in location like drive:\ORACLE\product\11.2.0\dbhome_1\NETWORK\ADMIN.
Littlefoot - Sir, please correct me if my guess is wrong!

No, he is correct. The mid tier directories in my 10g app server are /opt/app/oracle/product/10.2.0gas/10gmid/network/admin for the tnsnames file and /opt/app/oracle/product/10.2.0gas/10gmid/forms/server for the formsweb.cfg file.
There is also a tnsnames file in the infrastructure directory structure.
