installed and configured oracle 12.1.0.1.0 on linux and i noticed there is no emctl? I went through the oracle docs and i see no references as what to use,

actually what im looking for is a tool to manage oracle instances using a GUI interface like the old "Oracle enterprise Manager version 10.2" to manage users, tablespaces etc I do have and use at times the sql-developer which I dont like that much

If i knew the answer to my question I would not be asking for help, I though this group was for helping others with questions and not calling names and been rude, just because you are one of moderate of the group does not mean you are the greatest

Maria, I do not understand your problem: I have already answered your question. I'll try again, using more words:
Release 12c does not have the Database console that you would control with the emctl utility. Instead, it has Database Express. This is the 12c graphical tool for administration.

The point that Blackswan was somewhat gracelessly making is that you'll get more help here if you try to find out for yourself first and demonstrate what you've tried to do. For the record I agree with his sentiment just not the way it's expressed. You got a good pointer to what you are looking from John Watson, your very first reply.
