Try MS Internet Explorer instead of Opera.

Hm, that's strange. It is Windows XP you use, right? Which edition? (shouldn't be Home, as Oracle was never certified on it, although some people reported that they successfully use that combination of Oracle software and operating system).

Currently, I run Developer Suite 10g on MS Windows XP Professional - no problems whatsoever.

No idea which plug-in are your browsers complaining about ... Could you provide some more information? When does that error appear? Once you try to run a form? I saw that you started OC4J instance - did it start successfully (review its window's contents)?

Funny thing is that Google returned absolutely nothing (but your question) when searching for oracle forms 10g "this plug-in is not supported" ... Can't believe that nobody had the same problem, ever.

Ok i solved this:

* Modifying the file formsweb.cfg: Lines:
baseHTMLjinitiator=basejini.htm

to
baseHTMLjinitiator=basejpi.htm

And
jpi_mimetype=application/x-java-applet;jpi-version=1.4.2_06

to
jpi_mimetype=application/x-java-applet

*Installing JRE 6 (latest version)
*Checking "Control Panel"/"Java" Configuration, all versions active

Note: Tested using Mozilla Firefox
