Dear All,

I have install Oracle 10g Database software in Red Hat 5.9 64bit. When I want to create a database manually (not using DBCA) I am getting errors like follow:

[oracle@t24app2 ~]$ export ORACLE_SID=dbend08
[oracle@t24app2 ~]$ sqlplus / as sysdba

SQL*Plus: Release 10.2.0.1.0 - Production on Wed Jun 19 16:19:37 2013

Copyright (c) 1982, 2005, Oracle. All rights reserved.

ERROR:
ORA-12154: TNS:could not resolve the connect identifier specified


Enter user-name:



Please help what can I do?

I am trying to connect as host not using Tns file info.

Could it be that the TWO_TASK variable is set?

Check with "echo $TWO_TASK" and if yes, unset it with "unset TWO_TASK" and try again.

Thanks... Mr ThomasG ,

There is TWO_TASK parameter in oracle user bash_profile...

When I unset the parameter

then it works...
