First, The database is upgraded to Oracle 11g on ZFS Storage, Solaris based.
And I want to make DB cloning using ZFS clone, not RMAN Backup.
The steps:
1. I made Snapshot on desired database. (ONLINE BACKUP)
2. when I made clone from the snapshot I got this error.
Task[5] clone oracle:DWHPRD1-SNAP to oracle2
Setting clone options
Creating PRIMARY clone
Getting storage appliance firmware version
Getting storage appliance firmware version
Checking if clone already exists
Verifying target application can be provisioned from backup
Verifying target host meets application system requirements
Verifying backup
Getting network interface address(s)
Operation failed
Unmounting/Unmapping the clone share(s)
Deleting the clone application account
--- TASK FAILED ---
For input string: "192.168.224.1"
I didn't know what's the network interface address that made the operation failed. and what's the input string "192.168.224.1", This is not the IP of the DB Server??
Another Question??? Does I need a new home-directory for the cloned database to make it?

I suppose there is potential for confusion here. Of course ZFS is an Oracle product - ever since Oracle bought Sun. But for historical reasons, I think the OraFAQ membership is much more oriented towards the database, the development tools, the languages, and the applications.
This is actually a bit of a problem: OraFAQ has no reputation for expertise in Solaris. Perhaps that needs to be changed.
