hi,
i have to install single instance oracle 11 g r2 on solaris 10.initially same oracle version was installed but i delete the instance through DBCA and then manually delete the oracle software by deleting /u01/app/oracle and oraInventory. now i have installed oracle software and before starting DBCA i need to create the listener so i try to make default listener by running ./netca but it give me an error saying that listener port is already used. so i checcked the listener.ora so here default listener exists so i delete this listener successfully using ./netca but even then i see it in the listener.ora so i tried to give different ports like 1526,1535,1525 etc but for every port it saying that port already used. i checked the internet but no help
Any help would be appreciated
Regards

WRONG!
dbca does not require anything involving any listener.
consider doing as below to gain some possible insight as to what exists on your system
netstat -a | grep LISTEN | grep tcp
which will display what is listening on which ports on your system
