Hi,

Can you please tell me,is it very necessary to be through in sql to become a oracle DBA.if so can anyone help me to learn sql throughly.pls provide the link

Yes, you have to know SQL to be a (real) DBA.
And you also need to know what is a RDBMS and especialy Oracle.
But DBA 2.0 only needs GUI.

There are many tutorials of SQL on the web and in the libraries but you can refer to Oracle documentation (which is reference manual not a tutorial): Database SQL Reference

To learn what is Oracle read Database Concepts.
