Hi,
Could you please tell me how to arrange the maintainance steps in Rman Script. I read in few rman articles, that we should not include CROSSCHECK command in rman backup scripts.
Do we need to create seperate script to run commands like
CROSSCHECK BACKUP,
DELETE NOPROMPT OBSOLETE,
DELETE EXPIRED BACKUP
Please suggest best practices when writing backup scripts.

The comment from Yuri Velikanov is silly: no-one said you have to delete files found to be expired, that is just his idea. I would report on them, which he forgets to do. The comment from Shahid Ahmed is worse: no justification at all.
I sure as hell want to know about missing backups, and that means crosschecking regularly. Up to you.
