hi guys,

when user trying to connect oracle server from client side to connect dev6i its not letting them to connect and it says oracle no longer available,and when i restarted the services from control paneland its started up what could be the resaon,this is the fifth consecutive time in this month ,and everytime restarting the services it getting started up....

can any one let me know what would be the reason for this.....

There might be a reason in the alert log.

Dev6i was obsoleted & unsupported long before Windoes2008 was ever released.
Why do you have any expectation that such a combination will ever work together?
