I can restore the log files only using the:

run {
allocate channel t1 type 'SBT_TAPE';
allocate channel t2 type 'SBT_TAPE';
sql 'alter system archive log current';
# backup all archive logs
backup
filesperset 20
format 'al_%s_%p_%t'
(archivelog all
delete input);
}

How can I restore the log files only?
Actually I am also wondering if it makes sense to backup logs only and restore the logs only, but I have been asked to do that.

thanks for your comments.

This should do the trick:

run {
allocate channel t1 type 'SBT_TAPE';
restore archivelog all;
}
