I am attempting to make a job on an active database and I keep getting the error
"An error occurred checking if the script file directory exists. Correct the error and try again. Error message: Agent Unreachable"

I can't find any information about the error on the logs and I don't knwo what to do about the error. I really need the script the job makes but I have no idea how to get it.

Can anyone help?

Thanks.

I don't know what you have.
I don't know what you do.
I don't know what you see.
It is really, Really, REALLY difficult to fix a problem that can not be seen.
use COPY & PASTE so we can see what you do & how Oracle responds.

It would be helpful if you followed Posting Guidelines - http://www.orafaq.com/forum/t/88153/0/

I copied and pasted the error. Also you are very rude. You can see that this is my first post so you could have been polite.

When you need more information you ask politely not tell someone in the most demeaning way possible that they haven't said anything. I have said what I can. This error *is* as simple as I said it was.

What I have said:
1. I am getting an error when creating a job.
2. The error is happening on the schedule step.
3. the error is "An error occurred checking if the script file directory exists. Correct the error and try again. Error message: Agent Unreachable"

If I have not stated the information you want, perhaps I do not know what information you want. Please ask a question that tells me what you need to know.

I can't find any additional information on the logs. They don't seem to mention it.

schedule the job from sqlplus where you'll have additional visibility to what actually occurs.

The problem is I need the script that is could provide me. I am trying to use the re-organize function in enterprise manager to change a tablespace from manual to auto, and I don't know the code that can do that. I want to know how enterprise manager does it.

>I am trying to use the re-organize function in enterprise manager to change a tablespace from manual to auto,
why?

If this is a one time task why does it need to be scheduled?

It doesn't need to be scheduled. I need to get through the "schedule" section of the job creation process to be able to see the sql or use it. It seems to want to schedule to one time task for a certain time.

I was letting you know what the page was asking me to do with the scheduling. If you have the code to change a tablespace from manual to auto feel free to let me know it. Then I will not need to bother you anymore. However, the issue still stands that I do not have access to the code with out going through the schedule page which is causing the error. I am getting the feeling that I should go to a different forum.
